Esther Yong Zhen Ying started her humble beginnings in the legal journey graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Multimedia University in 2019. She thereafter read in the chamber of Ms. Valerie Chong Wei Chen in August 2019 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in September 2020. Esther has also obtained her Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Malaya in 2022.

Since her call to the Bar, Esther has dedicated her time substantially in the practice of the law. Esther is a skilled litigator who has appeared in various level of the judiciary and is experience in handling complex contentious matters before the courts. Esther focuses on the litigation practice from day one of her practice and has acted for clients in various matters including: debt recovery, commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, strata management conflicts, land disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and contentious probate matters. Her vast court experience coupled with her bespoken advice to client on litigation strategy ensures client’s interest to always be protected. 

In cases where out-of-court settlement is possible, Esther ensures that client’s ultimate aims and goals are achieved when negotiating an amicable agreement. Other than civil litigation, Esther also specialises in strata management advisory and representing clients for conveyancing transactions such as sale and purchase of property, perfection of transfer and charge. 

Outside of practice, Esther is devoted in youth empowerment programme and supports charitable causes for the betterment of the society at large.
